Up for grabs is a !50A/200A power supply, utilizing the HP 1200WDPS-1200SB A HSTNS-PD30 switching supplies.
Very robust units.
14.5V/150A @ 120V and 14.5V/200A @ 240V.
When I get the unit built sometime this week, I'll post detailed pics inside and out. These are pics of an identical unit...
I just bought a mint condition DX 667V with 1 2SC2290 driving 4 2SC2879 Toshibas. The big question is, what is the max amount of PEP I can drive it with? I have gotten 50 different answers on this question, ranging from "no more than 30W PEP" to "PEP doesn't matter, long as dead key is 1-2W"...
My Granddad ran one of these for many years. It was the first mobile radio I ever talked SSB on.
It's nothing great as far as radios go, but it sure has that 70s 'bling' factor.
It works, but seems low on TX power. I'm thinking it probably needs a recap and alignment.
Probably the prettiest...
A friend of mine just gave me one of these.
Never used a Mosfet amp before, but I hear they're not as forgiving as a regular transistor amp.
Anyone else tried one of these?
I'm needing one for my 858 Washington.
I have the 1306 and the pre driver already, but haven't been able to source this one.
The guy I sourced these from, said he had the 1307, but sent me the 1969, stating that it will work, totally ignoring the fact that I wanted the 1307 specifically.
The new RM Italy BLA 703 amplifier has been released.
RM Italy claims that it's a true "linear" amplifier.
You can purchase it here.
Eric Klein @ Klein Communications has extensive information regarding this unit on his Facebook page.
I put in a request many moons ago, to change my username and no response at all. I also purchased a premium membership yesterday, and no one has followed up on that either.
What gives?
Was using my 2517 yesterday, and lost all SSB transmit, and it's only doing 14W on AM. Any idea what could have happened, and if it's even worth fixing?
Hey guys, I have a very nice D&A Maverick 250 up for sale. The only issue with it, is it needs the grid tune capacitor rebuilt or replaced. I DO have a brand new grid cap for it, and also the parts to rebuild the old one.
I have a brand new 307 AMPS 2X6 so I have no need for this.
I'm asking...
I just got a new 2X6 and when running it, my audio sounds fuzzy and crunchy on SSB and AM. Sounds worse on SSB.
Any idea what could be causing it? It's a brand new amp. Pretty frustrated over it.
I have a Radiooddity QT 60 connected to a Tram 1498 via 50' of TM LMR 400. I connected it to my Maverick 250, then my LP 100A after the amplifier. The radio sees an SWR over 3.5 with the amp on, but the LP 100A reads 1.4. at the output. Without the amplifier online, the radio and LP 100A see...
I have a couple of dead toggle switches on my DX 2517...namely, the roger beep and SWR switches.
Is there any way to replace these, or repair them?
Thanks in advance!
