does anyone have a schematic and info on the palomar magnum 6000. it has jumpers for high drive. how much drive would that be i wonder. any info would be most appreciated. Carey

it only works with the 1000. the other radios are firmware locked.

most icoms do not drive well. the automatic swr saftey circuit makes it throttle back. with a eimac tube he should see 1000w to 1200w wired for 220v. now if it has the 3500zg good luck getting 700w out. they are very hard to drive to full output. i sugest he wire the amp for 220v and drive with...

it does have 2 6v windings that can be used as a 12v filament or control voltage. they are made by antek. you can get them on ebay or via anteks website. that is a 2000 volt 1.5 amp. it was a big whoping $149.00. i use seperate filamate transformer.

just a update on the whole 11 meter tx. i found a older version powersdr on the web that is tx enabled. works great on all bands.
