    I have had a hr2510 and enjoyed ssb on the rig greatly.I have had a 2950 also a great rig. A local uses a 2970dx that smokes also on AM and SSB.So Ranger is a sound choice for a good AM SSB rig. 8)

    Loud Radio Wanted, What do I need?

    8) I personaly have ran 29's with the 50w tune and have had very good luck with them.I also have a midland 79-285a am Rig and can say that midland radios tuned right are audio monsters with great Rx I really like the midland line good luck and 73's

    Top One Ground Plane (Base Antenna)

    Theres a local that has been using the Skylab for about 2 years now.He has had great luck with his as we live in tornadoe alley it has withstood several storms.He talks dx with the best and he is easly heard 40+ miles on quite days.I would say it is a good antenna for the $$$$...
