Woolwax is funny to me because its fluid unlike bulk fluid film which is more like a light grease. Ive got the pro spray gun setup from kellsport for fluid film. It will spray the fluid film which is more viscous than the woolwax but won't spray the woolwax unless its heated. I haven't tried the...
Late to the discussion but I have been using lanolin based products on my vehicles for years now. First starting using fluid film about 15 years ago. I switched over to woolwax about 4 or 5 years ago. I use woolwax on the underside of vehicles and fluid film in the body panels. Fluid film creeps...
I drilled mine all the way through and bolted them with stainless bolts. That and put marine heat shrink over the joints.
We have had some pretty heavy winds and its still as straight as the day I put it up.
I can only imagine.
After getting yelled at by walmart for talking on "Their" channel we would mess with them from time to time. I once pretended to be someone lost in the back of the store that had found one the HTs and called for help. That had them going for awhile.
We used to have a bunch of those driveway alarms around here going off. "Alert zone one" I haven't heard any in a long time though.
The local walmart used to run channel 4 and 5 and they would get so mad when anyone else used the channel. They really thought it was a private channel for their...
The signal is pretty consistent. If I run a radio with a signal meter it will sit there and hit the same signal strength each time.
I also don't think its a dog collar because it goes on at all hours of the day all year long.
This has been going on for a long time too. The last time I had a...
Someone had mentioned them causing interference years ago with their paging system and thats what sticks in my mind. It might not be them but with the range this is traveling it has to be coming from an actual tower site or so I would think.
I think the next nice day we get time we might try to track it down. There are a couple large tower sites where I think it might possibly be coming from.
I agree with being data or telemetry though.
I really think it might be futronics using it for testing purposes. I question the legality of...
This signal covers some serious ground. Ive left my house and driven 30 minutes away and have still picked it up. Thats why I can't see it being a dog collar. When I hear it on my base, my buddies that are around 10 miles away are also hearing it.
Ive heard about the GPS thing when I was searching for what it could be. I think this might something else though because the signal strength is so strong at times. Its even strong enough to come in with other stations transmissions.
Anyone else experience interference like this on the murs channels? This has been going on around here for years now. Used to be the channels were quiet and now this goes on for hours every day and night. At my house I pick this up on channels 1-3. I tried dialing up and down with the vfo on my...
I tried multiple times contacting them about alignment information for this radio. Never could get any information from them. I still have my radio and like it but their attitude when I asked about alignment information really aggravated me.
