Anyone here go through aligning their receive sides of these radios? Athough my 745 is working very well, and is more sensitive on 11 meters than my TRC 458 realistic, I haven't done anything to it except verify the PLL lock voltages for the different bands. They were about 0.07 v off. Tried...

Just listened to three folks on a repeater in England (147.405 Mhz) talk on their mobile, for about 20 minutes. They were on a repeater, and the accent of the repeater clinched it. From northern Va, 7:00 am local. Rig is ICOM 2100H mobile.
The TRC-433 (not touched inside) has more sensitivity and audio clarity than my TRC-458.

I found a 458 at a local thrift for $10.00, so I have my first CB radio since 1975. It had no mic, so I bought a TRC-433 on eBay for $15.00 plus shipping, since it came with mic too...
