Well, I fixed the kenwood. Did some digging and found that not only were the 2290s in it dead...there was two capacitors shot in the rear. Replaced the pills and the caps and she is working top notch again. Kenwood is alive for 2015!

I was originally inclined to believe that perhaps it was the relay causing it to stick...however....when i attempt to use the SSB function with the capacitor removed...the relay still clicks on and off with the tone of my voice...if it was a sticky relay the relay would catch during this process...

I recently got a small linear from a friend to use in the mobile when out on the road working. I hooked it up right after getting it and immediately noticed a problem. When trying to use it on SSB after I am done talking...I will have nothing but static in the receive....my needle is all the way...

I have a Kenwood Ts-130s tuned down and only putting out 35 watts into the Amp. Ive read that a high drive linear is safe to put this 35 into.

No problem. I know ive found multiple websites with confusion over there being no black wire in the newer superstar dm-452. Perhaps they switched stuff around. All i know is I am extremely happy with the Radio now and getting great reports on the sound. All i gotta do now is clean up the receive...
