    Dual Band HT

Thanks for the replies fellas, but I mentioned Icom and Yaesu quality. Water resistance and durability is important in my quality requirements.

    Dual Band HT

Looking for a good Dual Band HT 2M/440. Needs to be good quality. Looking at Icom T-70 and Yaesu FT-60 but wondering what you would recommend. Is there anything with the durability/cost of these units in a dual watch? Anyone with a T-70 or Ft-60 who could offer a quick review?

    Yeticom Optima MkIII

Great condition, has had modulation set by previous owner (is a member here) and has mic with top buttons. TX and RX is great. Has power cord, mic, custom aluminum bracket, allen head screws. I do not have factory bracket. This radio does have a little wear where bracket mounts as seen in...

    WTS Yeticom Optima MKIII

I would trade for 1000 rds 9mm or 5.56 ammo. Nothing else really needed. Prefer dollars.

    WTS Yeticom Optima MKIII

Nice Yeticom Optima MKIII I bought this from m42duster maybe a year ago. It is in excellent condition and talks well. I have misplaced the other end of the power cable assembly (the part that you wire into your veh) and it will not be included. It has the mic that was with it when I bought it...

Finally bought a Sirio 5000 to try...

Interesting. Mine is a Performer 5000 but compared side by side the Wilson stinger is thicker and stiffer. I actually prefer the more flexy whip because my truck is pretty tall and flex means no damage when the occasional tree limb gets wacked.

Don't know what to say. I can only post about my experience. Maybe something changed. Is your Wilson a 5000 or a 1000?

Swr At 1:3 And Cant Get It Any Better

Yep, difference between 1.3:1 and 1.2:1 is so slight as to never matter in the real world.

Finally bought a Sirio 5000 to try...

My stinger on my Wilson 5000 is much thicker and stiffer than the stinger on my Sirio P5000. It did have the black cap and my antenna came with the scratch off thing direct from DNJ.

Finally bought a Sirio 5000 to try...

Thanks for a great post jazzsinger. While I know there may be better made custom antennas, I agree with you that Sirio is the best bang for the money (better than some costing much more). Wilson used to be a no brainer but now they are just a shell of what they used to be. Well, I fixed my...

Just heard back from DNJ. They hope to have the new antennas in about 3 weeks.

Finally bought a Sirio 5000 to try...

No it doesn't. I like the looks from the picture a lot. I am also thinking of using one of these as well. https://breedlovemounts.com/antenna_puck_mount_129.html I am just not really in love with the Wilson or Sirio roof mount setup.

Finally bought a Sirio 5000 to try...

AL567, I actually thought about silver soldering it but locktight might work if it didn't mess up the connection from the mount to the coil. GnG8d, no, the whip has a rubber slip on cap on the tip. Mine is already gone LOL That is definitely a feature where the Wilson looks nicer with its ball...

Finally bought a Sirio 5000 to try...

I am not sure if it is happening while just driving. It does hit some tree branches sometimes. My point however is that it shouldn't move if tightened, period. It is an adjustment for when the owner decides, not a self governing safety. The whip is very flexible and I certainly have not hit...
