    Prefered Radio for SSB

    Uniden HR 2510 President Lincoln! Have one that is around 20 years old, and still works great! If you can find a used one in good condition at a decent price, grab it.

    Florida - What city are you in; what are the active local channels

    I travel through Florida often on business. I usually find quite a bit of activity around the Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville areas on both AM and SSB. Also, there are quite a few old timers using CB radios in the senior communities and retirement areas!

    INSTALLING A99 TOMORROW, PROBLEMATIC?

    I had installed an A99 on my deck, only about 2 feet off the ground! Low SWR, and it worked fine for skip and decent for local activity. Also worked well for 10 meter Ham use!
