Yeah I know on the 29xlr you break it between L15 and L13 I think it was there is even a couple blank traces I think to solder too you just cut between them but the 21xlr is laid out slightly different from what I was looking at last night. Similar but not exactly the same.

Where would I tie in on that 21 xlr to add a variable ?

There was a 29 ltd mod to get the lower channels like this as well I had one here a few years ago! A local guy here has it but I can't seem to get hands on it to copy it sure wish I could we all use 26.8150 and on a 40 watt 29 that would be awesome!

Seems to me it saw earlier nomadd mentioned using 2166 as the driver which means we could likely use the 2078 we swapped out for the fet. Now that said we would also want to swap in a larger predriver I've alread done this in the past. Although 1973 is hard to find now. Some of this is likely...

The board is known to cause issues, and I've seen it myself many times, and yes,s I have that's the crazy part, it looks like it's just an add-on on, but if you remove that connector from the main board, it's dead as a stump.

Is this in addition to the cut traces bridged with 4.7k resistors? Ignoring the earlier switch hook up?

Is there a simple, clear-cut mod to do this? The radio looks like a couple of resistors in that area are factory tied together, if I remember right. I'd have to pop the top and look. I'd post pics, but have never had any luck posting the pics from my phone here. Any help would be awesome.

For sure the n kit would be nice for the pc 122 122xl and all of the trc variants to be able to both up and down. As I recall you could only do the chip swap to a 2816 to go up other wise but it wasn't on center slot you had to use the clarifier to center up. And I was unaware you had the skit...

No really distortion issue just the signal causing the radio to read full scale meter and knocks the rx completely out like the radio is thing but it's not

Had a look at the solder side of the board no shorts the radio worked fine for a long while after the schottky swap by the way. The pin diodes you mention 15 and 16 weren't ever changed.
