Yeah I know on the 29xlr you break it between L15 and L13 I think it was there is even a couple blank traces I think to solder too you just cut between them but the 21xlr is laid out slightly different from what I was looking at last night. Similar but not exactly the same.

Where would I tie in on that 21 xlr to add a variable ?

The board is known to cause issues, and I've seen it myself many times, and yes,s I have that's the crazy part, it looks like it's just an add-on on, but if you remove that connector from the main board, it's dead as a stump.

Is there a simple, clear-cut mod to do this? The radio looks like a couple of resistors in that area are factory tied together, if I remember right. I'd have to pop the top and look. I'd post pics, but have never had any luck posting the pics from my phone here. Any help would be awesome.
