    Thanks sunbulls I have been reading and leaning that way possibly a 203. I am researching info now on the 29lx to do a variable dead key mod so i can run an amp and still talk bearfoot.

    Ok It is mounted near the top of the ladder I positioned it to keep it at 13 ft from the ground since most clearance is 13ft 6in or higher (keeping a wrench handy to remove if needed for low clearance) I dont know the swr yet I am waiting for my cable to be delivered so its not fully installed...

    It is mounted to a plate on the ladder. I checked for continuity between the ladder and the chassis to confirm it is attached to the metal frame.
