    T-star 500v

Howdy all. I went to T-star website and it shows that the amp should have 20watts put into it. Is that avg or pep? Bobs cb says 50watts pep and white dotte says 2 watt dk and 25 watts in. So should i do 1watt dk with 25avg watts and no more than 50pep watts? Thanks all.

    Swr’s

I appreciate everybody’s feedback. I never had this problem when i ran a radio with an external amp. I’m thinking these radios with built-in amps are the root cause of my problem.

    ok got it. Thanks.

    Swr’s

Thank you sir. I don’t think they used the analyzer correctly. They went of the coax and not directly to the antenna but off the coax it read a 1.08. Im going to go with the harmonic therory that some of the other members are saying.

    Swr’s

Lets go with your 4watts theory fourstringburn. Say I did calibrate my antennas with a 4watt radio and lets say its a 1.1 across the board. Now lets say that I unhooked the 4watt radio and hooked up an 200watt radio. Now the SWR readings are 3.1 across the board. Wouldn’t this affect my TX?

    Swr’s

I’m sure there are a lot of threads about swr’s and trying to find one with my situation would probably take hours to find so imma just make a new thread. First, is it true that you should use a 4 watt radio to tune the swr’s? (Assuming I’m tuning the swr’s and not a cb shop). Second, I went to...

    Dual antennas

Hey all. Was just wondering if a rumor i heard is true that power is divided between the 2 antennas? So lets say you have 100watts, that 100watts will be split into 50watts per antenna. Even if it was true, wouldn’t it still equal out to 100watts on tx?

The root cause has been found. Theres a black box done by the fuse panel, it controls my camera. Either when bobs installed the power wire they knocked the box loose or it could of been knocked loose from the bouncing of the truck. I played around with the box moving it in different directions...

You, sir, are a genius. I had to google dc ground loop, I don’t totally understand by i get the concept. So my radio and amp are connected together on battery 1 positive and battery 4 ground. I took radio power wire to positive on battery 4 and the ground on battery 1. And don’t you know that...

    This is bizzare

I was thinking maybe a power cord. Im using the stock power cord which i jumped it into my amp power. Afraid of voltage loss, i went to bobs to have it run straight to battery. They used 10g up to the factory power plug and solder them together. About a week after they did that I started to...
