I use 3 different radios off the same antenna and coax system. My Yaesu and Anytone 6666 show swr's from flat to 1.2 from channel 1 thru 40. These readings are from the built in radio swr meters and my Daiwa cross needle swr meter. Readings are consistent. The Yaesu has a built in power supply...

Absolutely! The radio worked flawlessly for 3 years then I'm hearing radio checks and 10 codes on the lower side of 38 and 40. I'm glad I checked the frequency, but boy I feel like a twit. WWDX comes to the rescue.
When switching between the channel number and frequency on my Anytone 6666 it seems channels 38 and 40 are 27185. The rest of the channels seems correct. I double checked that I was on 'D' and then listened to 19 and then 38 and 40. Sure enough, although the channel selector said 38 or 40 it was...
Marconi,
After all of your years of research, personal experience, and reports from other users, which version do you feel provides the best overall performance? Avanti Astroplane, Targa version or Sirio Tophat? By your video the Tophat certainly seems to win in the noise floor category.
After having my Gainmaster fail (low rx and 3.0 swr all channels) after 5 years, I put up my Sirio Vector 4000. Everything was great then the screws on the main center shaft began backing out and the shaft collapsing down into itself. Took the Vector down and retighted all screws, adding lock...
Took my Gainmaster down about 4 months ago and replaced it with a Sirio Vector 4000. Vector worked great except screws kept falling out so I put the Gainmaster back up. Now I get swr's of 3 on all channels 1-40. When Gainmaster came down it had swr's of 1.2, now 3. I remeasured antenna 3 times...
Large coax is in great shape. Meters are Daiwa CN-901 and a friends Yaesu. Both read very close to each other. There is length both ways with the gamma match. I'm just going to enjoy the antenna and not worry about the swr. I certainly shouldn't worry about 1.2. Thank you all for your help.
Antenna down and backnup with loktite and lock washers. SWR 1.2 on 40 and flat on 1. No matter how much I tried I can't get ch40 any lower. When I use regular thin coax the swr are flat across the board. When I use the thicker "better" coax the swr's are 1.2. Both coax is same length. Any...
