    Newbie question: License in the US

    If you don't transmit; just radiate into a dummy load - no license necessary. You would want a licensed person to verify that no RF is coming out of the dummy load and cables.

    Rig Pix Start here. Look for '70s or newer rigs, if you don't want to putz with tubes. Nothing wrong with tubes, until you have to replace a rare one.
