I had noise all around my house. Used a handheld and walked around the property and found the only quiet spot on the land. I put my tower there on that spot and have zero noise issues, but the antenna is 60 feet from the house.

Out of all my modern rigs the Radioddity QT40 has the best receive in my opinion.

You gain all and lose nothing. Same with the Anytone Ares II radio. Move the jumper to expand it.

My wireless mic works with my President McKinley but not my new President Washington. Kinda strange.

I bought a Sirio GPE 27 5/8 ground plane and can talk up to 100 miles local with my export radio. It's been up for 3 years now with no issues.

So let's make this interesting. The North Shore CB Radio Club is a sideband club located in NE, Ohio, Western PA, Western NY, and Ontario Canada. We were residing on channel 33 LSB for almost 3 years, but for some reason that channel gets really early skip from Portugal, Fax/Data transmissions...

In my experience with my Realistic TRC-453 and a Wilson 1000 mag mount I was able to talk mobile to mobile on AM mode up to 14 miles and up to 20 on a base. On SSB I was able to talk up to 30 miles mobile to mobile and up to 50 miles mobile to base.

Good and tight now. It was hard to tell it was not seated right with the shape of the rear of the case.

UPDATE! After trying yet another power cord, I noticed it not seating correctly. I looked in the back of the radio and there was a piece of crud in there making poor contact. Thanks all!

The guy who owned it installed the fan kit on the heat sink and that's about all I know. I did try another cord and no go.

I did some work on a friend's vehicle and got paid for the job. As a tip he gave me a new President Washington radio. He told me there was an issue with transmit. I hooked it up to my base with my 100 amp power supply that runs my Quad 6 no problem. I also hooked it to my 30 amp power supply and...

Or you take that beautiful Craig base station that you dumped a fortune into to get working and it's never right. You open it up, gut it, and put a modern radio in it and enjoy both worlds.
