    I bought a Sirio GPE 27 5/8 ground plane and can talk up to 100 miles local with my export radio. It's been up for 3 years now with no issues.

    Average distance for a Bone Stock 11 Meter SSB radio.

    In my experience with my Realistic TRC-453 and a Wilson 1000 mag mount I was able to talk mobile to mobile on AM mode up to 14 miles and up to 20 on a base. On SSB I was able to talk up to 30 miles mobile to mobile and up to 50 miles mobile to base.
