Has anyone used this "stud" mount? The one on the far right that is all metal. I have read that the gum drop mounts are junk.

The Unidens have a mail-in rebate right now. I think it is $30 for the 68 Elites and $40 for the 78 Elites. For the price after rebate you can't beat the radios.
