Grab Astron RS70A schematic, use stronger transformer, add a few more 2n3771 and you have nice 100A PS.

This made me pull out what I once called Frankenstein. 2 -100 amp supplies I had combined with an aluminum heat sync holding 2 MBR 60/100 semiconductors. It was not pretty but it functioned. Had a smaller 12 volt converter on it to power the fans, and a lot of hot glue.

2 HP server supplies modded and it parallel will make 150+ amps for less than $100.
I've been using an 75amp hp server power supply for the past 4 or 5 years...... never a problem. Bought it used on ebay for 20 bucks
