11 meter is very quiet?

Good day, 10- France was good, Germany was good, Florida for a time was S9+ on 11 meters.
Pennsylvania, New York.....
I spent several hours today just working dx from the mobile , called for WWDX but no answer.

Decent DX day up here today, and it's only half over! I talked to 030 in Limerick Ireland on 26.805FM again; I made contact with him last year as well. West coast of Canada to Ireland on 200 watts into a homemade delta loop. Who says you can't DX in FM mode?!?!

Made several other contacts on FM all in the west and midwest U.S. and then went up and tried my luck on 36 where I made a couple Ontario contacts and a bunch in upper New England area.

Prime conditions out there right now, it's literally coming in from all over.......

Busy with work, so only time to work local SSB contacts once skip calms down later in the evening. I am blessed with regional activity, and I have the distinct impression that there is a new generation of 11 meter enthusiasts on the airwaves around here in Quebec. Us older folks have our channel, and young-bloods have their own. There is cordial crossover from both sides, from time to time.

Today my first.southern ireland number 30 plus first fm connection on 26.8050. Suprizingly he lives not far from where my great great gandad came from

Squeezed in a few contacts today. I logged my first division 347, in Curaçao.

I got Craig in Daytona. He was coming in loud and clear. I also got my usual fix of division 14 and 26 as well. All in all, a good day considering I don't have much time to spare. Going to grab some grub and chat with the locals later.

I think it's funny listening to him for a bit but it doesn't take long before it gets old. No doubt that he's a belligerent drunk.

Money & time don't seem to be an obstacle to 333. He drinks all day and night and still has funds left over to fix his amp when he blows it up. He runs a giant beam antenna too.......supposedly his ERP off the end of the beam is close to 3000 watts. At least that's what I hear from other folks down there........so you might want to take that with a shaker or two of salt LOL!
Anyways, it's a great setup; too bad he just uses it to piss people off.

Great contact with another WWDX member today......45 North Florida booming in on 27.405 LSB. Always nice to meet other forum folks on the air!

Also chatted with lots of people on 26.805FM including briefly with 030 in the south of Ireland again. A fine radio day all around!

Lots of Wisconsin and Minnesota stations coming in down here today. Good QSO with 988. When my barefoot TRC465 and marine CB antenna are connecting, you know the skip was hopping (on LSB 36, LSB 37 and LSB 38).
