Yes. .425 is getting just as bad as .385. It seems the idiots are out in full force on many channels lately. What to do, what to do? I am sure we all have some really good ideas!! Merry Christmas to all the members and their families.
I've simply stopped announcing what channels I monitor on any public forum.
There are still lots and lots of frequencies with good people and without idiots, you just have to get way out of the regular 40 channels and become friends with frequencies ending in '0'.
Nothing wrong with LSB and AM modes, but there are also lots of folks out there on USB and even FM as well.
The irony for me is that back in the day all the idiots were on AM and the good operators on sideband. Sure isn't like that now! Some of the best operators now are old-timers running AM below channel 1, while the biggest goofs and idiots are all running sideband rigs on 37 38 and 425.

( I will say that after beating the bushes for a couple hours this morning on 11 that ten meters was refreshingly open and not a agitator in sight.)
I was on a few times today and for not very long. 39 was the only channel worth talking on and I made a total of 5 contacts today. I could have gone up to other frequencies, but with limited time 39 worked for me today.
I'll be on all week and weekend.
I need to wrap up this post. I heard from a good source that Santa is getting close.

yes i can go lots of places with my 955.
i think its the holy grail of radios. but im sure more brands are as capable. but in my50 so years radioing the 955 is king. i will now fall off my soap box n hope we chat again sometime jeff. been few years as i remember. wasnt it before start of this solar cycle by couple years. might be off a couple
