11 meter is very quiet?

Must have been a solar flare or something, nothing but a gentle hisssssssssss with a few distant voices in the static on the band this morning !
I get a full day off work and this is what happens.....guess the DX Gods are not smiling on me this morning LOL!

Skip is rolling in south Texas this afternoon. Made some easy contacts to Florida and Washington state plus some southeastern states. Mostly listening today.
After reading your post, I decided to turn the radio on and I was surprised at the number of contacts I made in just 45 min. Thanks for posting, my friend!

It's amazing what happens when you stir the pot. It was pretty dead when I fired up the base at 8 pm EST. Called CQ-Dx and the channel (37lsb) lit up like crazy. Logged strong stations all around the US. 9 pm and Mother Nature pulled the plug. Fun way to start off the year.

Absolutely completely totally dead here all day.........a little reminder of what it will be like in four or five years from now when we reach the bottom of the solar cycle again!
Hoping it picks up again soon.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
