11 meter is very quiet?

Real sporadic around here, mostly Jamaica or South East USA when it happens. One time in the mobile on a hill top I heard S. America and thought I might connect with JJ so I started shouting to no avail. I keep trying hoping to get lucky but have to get my SWR meter hooked up to my mobiles and they are both Q6 Pro and their antenna connection is the worse feature on that radio. There is room for improvement.

Pretty good conditions this morning.
One hour and two cups of coffee. A very nice way to start the Saturday morning.

late last nite was distant bs nobody could break through. i went down under 1 about 26 notches down n WOW few there great clar signal. they got quiet. i thoght naa, yeahhh keyed mic n hey sounding great in bluegrass. we chatted a bit was like 4 n we all talked never telling each other who we were, then i screwed up told where i was and from other places far away we were bombarded n never got another chance to speak

The last two evenings have been insane. WI, IA, MI, TN, OH, KY, PA, VA, W.VA, NC, SC, GA, and Fl. Multiple contacts in each state. At times the roar was so loud I couldn't talk to locals 10 miles away, but had no problems at 300-800 miles. Been a long time since I've had skip like that.

We've had a pretty decent north-south e-skip path open from here down to CA, UT, CO, OR, NM & AZ & Northern Mexico for the last few days. It stops and starts, but I've seen some really big signals at times!

Also the usual Hawaiians, Aussies & Kiwis booming in here every evening. After 40 years playing with radio I still find it amazing that I can talk to the outback of Australia like it's just down the road, but I can just barely hear the most powerful stations out of Vancouver, which is only a bit more than 100 miles away (and through some mountains). Radio's crazy like that!
