11 meter is very quiet?

It's open to the Pacific, talked with UDX 462 in New Zealand on 325 lsb and now several others in Australia....
Hopping again
I think the sun must have burped out a flare or two....... pretty poor conditions up this way today after a week or more of the band being on fire every day. Hearing the Aussies for sure, and some weak Florida / Gulf Coast stations but that's about it.

Conditions have been terrible all day for me. Gordon was still at it at 7pm cst and I tried to make contact but it just wasn't going to happen.

We had to keep moving until we found a place to make the contact it was rough.
I think @BC Coyote hit it with the burping, the day before Hawaii was here and they were strong with little hash, then the next night New Zealand with high noise and we are digging each other out of the mud...
Today has been dismal with hash all day.

Agreed. Last night on our home frequency 27.535 several of us made contacts down under. We just rag chew and occasionally a great sounding station would chime in. Then they'd fade away and we're back to local talk. Amateur bands were hopping today with everyone saying "CQ contest". But other than that, all bands have been terrible today.
