12 meters for those of us in teh states is 24.930 to 24.990 mhz

And personally I like 10 and 12 meters, very low noise levels even when band is open...and when those two bands are open world wide contacts are very possable with 100 watts or less...alot of fun !!

not to be a wise ass but I have talked there on 27.395 lower side for the last 3 months, no license needed and no high powered ham radio either, so please give me the advantages of a license, please, my Connex CX566SB makes the trip really well and just a 200 dollar radio new

the advantage of a license is that talking over 150 miles is legal. so is the wattage increase, not having to use assigned channels, not having to look over your shoulder and a few other things.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
