Talked to Mark/14DX181 on 27.545mHz/USB for five minutes from S of Paris, France to San Jose CA.
He was 5/9 at 7:35PM/GMT/France.

Pointing the beam to the NNE using ~75 watts to get New York - netted a much bigger fish. Since I am relatively new to DX, timing from my end into Europe seems to be a key factor that I must begin to take into close account. Otherwise, I can see how I can miss the DX window and miss future contacts.
