Closest these folks come is 1984. Probably has something to do with copyright expiration, maybe?

Is there a particular article you're hunting? Many of them carry over from year to year.

Somebody had mentioned there was a particular amplifier project in that issue that would Interest me but I can only assume it was likely a multi band 3-500z amp... If it was I don't care. If it was more exotic though

Local Libraries normaly have ARRL Hand Books and Chilton Manuals and other such. Look in reference section especially over sized reference section. They will be covered in dust and only checked out 6 times!

Also, if you are looking for a book and the library doesn't have it, find the ISBN number of the print and request it, many libraries will obtain it for you, add it to their collection and let you check it out. Ymmv.

The 2015 handbook has a few amplifier projects in it. There's a solid state for 160m-6m, a 2m solid state, and a 10GHz amp. There's also a tube section with the first project using either a single 500z or a pair of 811/572/GI-6B.. Another tube project uses a single 3CX1500D7 for 160m-10m. And a third tube project, a 6m 1kw box that uses a 4CX1600B.

The book comes with a supplemental files CD with more detailed info on the project, including some color pictures.
