My vote would go for the "Hustler High Gain CG-144"
5/8 over 1/4 Wave Collinear antenna. Has 3/8 x 24 threads so it will mount in a standard mount. This antenna is 7` tall!!! AES had them for about $32.00 last time I looked,<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT="

Thanks yall, im new to the ham seen and am very excited about being one, but i dont know "JACK" about the products as i do CB! I guess when you spen most your life in CB , the rest never mattered! Keep them comming! Im also looking for the top of the line mobile with 2 meters in it! Wanted the best 2 meter rig out there, so icome up with the Icom 706MK II G, but, it is a all bander, so !!!!
