Got a used 2510 for a song and have fixed the AM tx problem with Rogerbirds help. All of a sudden strange things are happening.
After being turned off all night it takes a very long time for the display to come on. I've thought I've found the problem a couple of times but seems to keep on doing it every morning.
I've replaced many caps on both boards to no avail. Latest development this morning when it didn't turn on I was poking around and touched the legs of IC107 8v reg.and it came on.
Changed the regulator and C149. When I went back on the channels on SSB it seems as if the frequency had changed slightly. Previously clarifier had been roughly at 11.30 and now it sits at about 3.00.
L116 117 118 seem to have no effect on frequency.
Don't really know what to make of this.
