My 2510 has the RF-Gain pot, whereas a Lincoln has a RF-Gain button. Does anyone know where the Lincoln's RF-Gain button would be similar to on the 2510's dial? In other words, where would I dial the 2510's rf gain to achieve the same settings as the lincoln's button? Also, I have the same question about the lincoln rf-gain with it deactivated. Did that make any sense at all?

Got my head spinnin. (not hard to do) If asking where the rf gain knob would be turned to get the same RX as when the Loc/DX switch on the Lincoln is on Loc OR Dx, I would say you would have to set them side by side with a coax switch and switch back and forth between the two radios and see what "sounds" like the same.Couldn't really rely on the meters on the two radios because they may be adjusted differently. Why would this matter? Just tune it to where you like it.

Well....I have a 2510. I use the RF-Gain quite a bit depending on the conditions or the contact. Just wonderin what the difference would be on a Lincoln. Also wonderin if the RF-Power would be more useful than the RF Gain pot, all things considered.

OK, that's some good insight into the second question. How about the original question?

Can an RF gain be added to a Lincoln using the RF power control in favor of just setting the AM power inside the radio, since that's all I would need. Is this posible, or would it be too much trouble.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
