2990DX intermittent RF power on SSB?

Hello all just new here and I just started having problems with my 2990DX, it works fin on am but on SSB it will work fine but sometime the rf power will cut out, I have tried differnt mics, tuned down the mic gain RF power it just started doing it on SSB only today, dont think its to serious to get fixed but just have me stupped on what it could be???
 

Well I just picked up my 2990DX, it was a bad driver final (2sc1969) and also had a few bad solder joints, back to working great!:thumbup:

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
