2990DX intermittent RF power on SSB?

Hello all just new here and I just started having problems with my 2990DX, it works fin on am but on SSB it will work fine but sometime the rf power will cut out, I have tried differnt mics, tuned down the mic gain RF power it just started doing it on SSB only today, dont think its to serious to get fixed but just have me stupped on what it could be???

does anyone know what finals are in the 2990DX base? are they 2290's?

the older 2990s had power supply issues which would be my guess.
the dx model should have 2290 finals unless it was changed to mosfets

Well I just picked up my 2990DX, it was a bad driver final (2sc1969) and also had a few bad solder joints, back to working great!
