2SC1969 vs NTE236 vs 2SC2166...

Thats good to know but oddly I pulled a good set of 2312's and a 1969 was driving them. From a Galaxy 99. I was going to try the known good set in a saturn that was cabbaged with Chinese fakes. What would replace a 2166?
The old Galaxy had a 2sc2166 driving two 2sc2312 transistors
( see schematic below) from the factory, maybe some one swapped a 1969 in to replace the 2166 after they became inobtainum but it really don't belong there.
Yes the very old 1306 and 1307 were driver and final many years ago.
Hugo Semi makes replacement 2312, 2166, and 1969 transistors that's about as close as you are going to get.
I don't trust any foreign sources on e-bay for replacement transistors.

Gotcha. Yeah. Weirdly enough it was hammering out big power. I preferred stock so I put it back straight
It was a real rats nest. So who sells these HG trsnsistors?

The only thing that is good (IMHO) about Sylvania, Phillips, NTE, etc. replacement semiconductors is their catalogs. I have about 10 or so catalogs dating back to the 60s. Chock full of data and specs, which is great if you want to replace an obsolete part and don't know the specs.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
