I'd want to be honest here, Scott's radio is very open about flaws in ranger builds, cosmetic flaws, factory misaligned radios ect.
This video shows how a new radio has a flickering channel display out of the box and he says that it is also a problem on the Texas Ranger radios.
Again this is not directed at him, he supply's radios to his customer base and this is what they want, it's just to show what the factory is shipping as far as quality out of the box being sent to the retailers.
The serial number on the box shows that this radio is already several years old.

Looking at the factory alignment shows they really need to be serviced right out of the box because they are sloppy at the factory and been sitting for 3-4 years somewhere.
Anyway
Here it is.

Good grief! And yet people still keep buying them!

Not surprised they can't build and align a radio, they even seem to to struggle with basic writing skills.......they spelled "Cancelling" wrong on the box, and what the heck does "60 watts up more" mean exactly?

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
