Class C.
Input transformers to ground through a choke.
The original Messengers were class AB.
Knock off.
But it looks ok, at least they used Negative feed back.
Stripline board similar to messenger.

Second look with my glasses on.
Not sure I like the output from the combiner running right next to the transistors in between the transformer
It is shielded but don't think I have ever seen that before.
Interesting.
When Ray went away Billy Dean Ward bought all of the inventory that was left.
He built some of the amps, and was working on another batch when he , well, met with his unfortunate fate.
His family was selling off the amps and related stuff on e bay.
Parts, partially finshed amps, less transistors and such.
There is no telling who was putting them together after all of that happened.
There was a lot of conterversy surrounding BDW's passing.
As long as it works it should be fine.
For years now you almost never know who is making what.
The plus side is
It has Toshiba 2879 transistors in it.
I would baby it because, as we all know, real 2879 transistors cost a friggin mint now.
To replace them would likely cost 3 times what you paid for it.
That alone makes it a good deal.

The pre amp transistor is likely on the right hand side of the vertical board in the back of the Amp.
Follow the trace off the preamp switch on the right side.
Neither BDW or Ray attempted what Steve (TX amps) did.
Feed the collectors , bypassing the output transformer through common mode chokes.
I have a M4V that did have this mod in it. I doubt it was Ray or BDW that modified it. Not "getting it" way back when I took it out.
I wonder...
