5/10 turn pot cobra 142 gtl

If I where to over think this, I would put a stand alone voltage reg and have that help with the clarifier. but that may be over kill

@ loosecannon thanks for the link on the 10 turn pot ill order a few to have a round.. I use mouser.com for 90% of my stuff but I was unable to fined it. I am not that good at navigating there web site I guess...?

yeah, mouser can be a tough nut to crack when you first start using it.

i find it best to type in the keyword in its most basic sense, and then let the site walk you through it.
first select the right category, then apply enough of the filters to narrow down your results enough, then look through the list.

you really should have some sort of resistor in line with the ground wire of the clarifier.
its cheap insurance against a power supply short when the clarifier is turned to its most counter clockwise point.

even 100 ohms (since you have two right there!) will be enough.
it may shift the center slot a bit, but you can just tune those cans to get it right again.
always tune the variable cap first, and then do the other two cans on radios that have that setup.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
