Been chomping to get on 60. Disappointed that my 80M Loop was so far out of resonance there and even a very good outboard tuner wouldn't make it work. So yesterday the last of the parts needed came in and I put up a dedicated 60M Flattop Dipole. Is working perfectly as should and its multiple resonance abilities makes it also work well on 10 and 6 meters. Wondering how many here are on 60? Everybody there seems friendly and casual mostly due to to fewer operators on the band and being limited to 100 watts ERP and no contesting. Nets are permitted of course and so far I have found the Short & Sweet Net daily at 5:30pm eastern out of Pennsylvania on Ch. 2 and a couple of months ago I copied one on Sunday afternoons at 4 e.s.t. out of the Midwest on Ch. 4. Great band combining the propagational activity of 80 and 40.

I really need to get on 60. When it first became available, I entered the frequencies into the memory of my FT-840. But I don't think I've ever made a contact there.

Here's another confirmed Net plus an upcoming one.
On the 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month, there is the FEMA AUXCOMM Region 5 Net on Ch. 4 at 3:00pm Central. This is a Service Net and they only accept check-ins from the Region 5 States of MN, MI, WS, IN, IL and OH.
.
Also I've heard there's a new net set to commence out of the Southeast beginning on Sunday Jan. 2nd, 2022 and run on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month going forward on CH 4 at 4:00pm eastern.
.
Please post here if you're aware of any other regularly scheduled Nets on 60 Meters. Thanks !

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
