8ohm or 4ohm ?

the answer to the original question rests mostly on the audio device in use. for example, the TA7222AP will deliver 5.8W of output into a 4 ohm load @ 13.2 VDC with less than 10% THD with a figure of .2% being typical........it will also deliver 9.3W of output into a 2 ohm load at the same specs while listing no typical THD figure except to say that is still <10%. a total load impedance of 2 - 4 ohms produces the best results. i use a pair of 3.2 ohm, 10.5 oz. mylar cone elements in parallel and output is above average and more than adequate.

generally speaking, the majority of these devices will deliver more power in almost direct proportion to the reduction of the load impedance.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
