The Galaxy can be sent back to Galaxy to fix it. They have a pretty decent reputation going these days.
Most shops should be able to handle the GrantXL. It is the same as a Cobra 148 GTL; as I have both of them. I just work on local radios in my area, worked on a lot of those 148's. But I don't have a shop, and I do it just for people that I know in the area.
Sparky's CB in IL is a decent shop to fix your GrantXL.
Send it to him; I would.
