I'm surprised he still has tubes left in the Henry amp. 1800 watts AM dead key from a pair of 3-500's doesn't leave much room for mod peaks. He probably sounds like crap unless he is talking about what he can throw out there for a carrier without modulation. :?
1800 watts on a base station might have been alot 30 years ago, but that is barely a driver for a lot of stations on channel 6 today.
