My uniden Madison repair manual came in the mail today. I will be doing the work at my kitchen table, where my antenna cable doesn't reach. I purchased a 20-60 watt pep dummy load in order to drop the wattage down from 5 to 2 1/2 on am and from 12 on ssb to 6. I will be adjusting the am watage via the VR10 and the ssb via the VR11. Is it ok to add audio on ssb with the dummy load in line? I will be using the Madison a meter and the dummy load in order to drop the wattage., I must modulate in order to get a ssb watage reading on the meter. I've never used a dummy load before and don't know if it's alright to do.If it's ok fine but , if iit's not, how can I drop the ssb wattage? ps I oordered the manual from an eBay seller named Kay. She sells many cb ham and amp manuals. Thay are of very high quality and also come with a cd in case you need to view it on a computer screen.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
