Al 811 amps not covering all of 160

Tom ( W8JI ) is finding that some AL 811 amps will not tune the bottom end of 160 due to a parts change done by MFJ.

I would bet that mfj didn't know, the supplier from the land of almost right probably slipped them a fast one.

The coax grounding Tom points out is not new. The last few I repaired had manufacturers dates of 2012 and 2014. Those had the coax grounded just as his picture shows above.
