ALE is now being built into Transceivers!!

    Check this out...Icom's new rig. This is a land mobile rig for 0.5 - 29.9 mhz. The interesting thing is that it has ALE built in! I would be willing to bet that this is a precursor to seeing this technology in ham rigs. Remember in the other thread that I said that we as hams should stop complaining about technology advances that cause us to have to learn to operate differently or adjust our practices? This is an example of what I was getting at. Other services can grow and learn; there's no reason why we can't also.

    I'm not sure I like that. I'll be impressed when they make one dispense bourbon instead of ale. :D

    Don't the Motorola Micor series also do ALE?
