okay,
the antenna is up, total length is 235" im just listening right now, im afraid to transmit because when i checked the coaxial from the center + to the outside coupling ring (braid) is 0.8 ohms. would the antenna short out?

another question is:
whats the distance from R03P spider to PO8P? the instructions say 1/2" is this correct?

right now the antenna is about 10' from the floor but it will be 28-33' soon.

73's to all

I believe your resistance measurement (at DC) is about right. At RF, however, this apparent low resistance will be a considerably higher impedance - something in the neighborhood of 50 ohms.

I'm not personally familiar with this antenna so I don't speak (okay, TYPE) with any degree of authority. Many antennas do behave this way, however.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
