I read that removing input padding will allow full output from QRP rigs. Could it be wired in such a way with a switch to allow swapping QRP and 100 watt rigs back and forth?

Yes you can and the best way to do that is usually with a DPDT bypass relay so that the RF wires can be kept short.

And you will only leave the switch in the wrong position once

I’d actually like to do the opposite to T.S. DX500, so I’m not throttling the radio down. Have it running about 350-400 watts out with 35-40w in...one day I’ll figure it out.
