Most of the antenna selectors I use are either built into the tuners or are remote. Case in point with the latter: A Drake CS-7. In my case, the remote unit is used to select a multi-band sloper from one of 5. It shorts the feedlines of the unselected ones, effectively turning them into reflectors.
For an in-shack accessory, the A-D units are what I'd go with if I was selecting one from scratch.
