I currently use a Dosy SW-4 antenna switchbox and would like any input on something better, that can handle some power, ie: 2K PEP. I think the Dosy is only rated at 1kw and it also tends to make my swr jump up when the box is on. Not looking to spend the insane bucks like some of the ham guys do, but want a simple, 3+ position, low-loss, well built switchbox to accomodate flat/vertical and future standby. Maybe in the $100 range. Any suggestions? I have heard the MFJ's are to be avoided.

Daiwa CS-401 switch is great. It is a 4 position and will handle 2.5 Kw but has been discontinued. If you can find one they are great and will not affect SWR.The MFJ switches are not all the great.I have the mfj-1704 and the CS-201 and I will take the Daiwa quality anyday.

switch box

teh best switchbox i found was the delt-4 ucan hav e4 antennas on it and it also has a surgeprotector

Thanks for the replies. I found a brand new Alpha Delta-4  . Daiwa no longer carries the 4 position, as mentioned. I am getting rid of my Dosy to a local who isn't running much power. No more Dosy equipment for me period! :?

That's a very good idea. Dosy switch boxes don't handle power very well in my own experience.

This is an old thread but I'm hoping someone can answer this question for me.
I just bought a Dosy TB-3001PSW (got it basically free with reward points on a CC and I see it has the ability to combine the Rx of both a vert. and horz. antenna to present both to the receiver at the same time. Basically the meter has a SW-4 built into it apparently.
Now that's got me wondering about the Tx side of the equation. When it's set to the Horiz + Vert. position, when you transmit does it send the signal to both antennas at the same time?
Wondering how this works.

Thanks. I did do that when I hooked it up just to see what, if any, difference it would make in the swr I get for each one independently but it didn't.

Maybe because both are showing 1.3 to 1.1 across the band?
Think I'll run it like this for a while, might be easier than switching back and forth.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
