Always worried about a storm coming along and taking my antennas down. Had been wanting to figure out a simple way to get something back up pretty quick in case that does happen.
This is what I came up with. Works real well for a temp. or portable tilt up base. Cranks up the 20' mast with an 18' vertical antenna attached very easily even for an 81 yr. old.
Used some treated lumber I had left over from building some new porch steps. Two ten foot pieces of 1.5" conduit from Lowe's bolted together so it can be dissembled for transport if I want to use it in the field with the base screwed down to the floor of my little 10' trailer.
