I'm wanting to swap my A-99 for a GP-9. If I decide I still want a a vertical 10/11m, I was thinking about a 4' standoff with a whip and a wire hanging down. 4 feet would be plenty of distance to talk local on 10m without hurting the 2m performance much, I think?

I still haven't found the answer, but I'm pretty sure 1/4 wave is plenty of distance. Good news is the GP-9 is pretty bad ass. I am pretty sure I'm going to be "Mr. relay" now, but I'm not sure if that's good or bad yet.

I can hit all the locals on 10m ok enough with 100 watts on the end fed that I don't think a vertical will be necessary. I guess it was an unnecessary dumb question.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
