I don't get home from work til about 5:20. but will turn the rig on 29.600 to see if I hear you if you are still around. I can't do the 6 meter thing since I don't have a 6 meter rig.

Used to talk 11 meter FM quite often when propagation was on my side.

Remember doing this during a thunderstorm once while using AM mode and the lightning crashes got so bad I had the guy switch to FM and we continued our conversation and that's how I discovered it.

Best FM contact for me was on 11 m

from here in AZ to 43 div... actually we did all modes the contact was so good.. Started on USB went to LSB then AM and finaly FM
