I'm gonna hide behind a wall and throw this out there... GNF. lots of people would love to destroy GNF, and it only seems to work with very strong signals. to keep post related, does anybody have insight on the variable nrc for the q6p? i would imagine it works far better than the all or nothin nrc of the k-po dx5000

Yeah, the GNF feature was better than nothing. But the DSP noise reduction that these new radios have is like night and day. I usually run mine on level 2 and occasionally turn it off to see the difference it makes, it has spoiled me. Now it is hard, almost painful to listen to my old radios...

These new radios have spoiled me and it's hard to go back.

I made a Florida & Oklahoma contact with my Lincoln II+ today running barefoot full power and that is a noise y radio but my West Mountain Radio processor Tamed the noise and made it enjoyable. I've run my DX 2547 with that proccesor and was pleased with the results. They are pricey but worth it in my opinion for what it is worth ! LOL

On 15 meters SSB Power All Way Up 20 to 25 watts. SWR is 1.2 The antenna is a G5RV DIPOLE 80 meters to 10 meters. My meter is a Diamond sx-600. I was disappointed that this is all it would do on 15 meters but as the gentlemen had stated earlier this band was extra and not really intended to be fully operational as it is for all other bands. The other bands I have tested from 10 meters to 12 meters performs very well with the power doing as stated by the manufacture of the radio. By the way, has anyone discovered how to do the swing diode modification for this radio yet?

If anyone is having issues with the radio showing high SWR even though your SWR is fine according to your external meter, Delboy.s web page there is a 1.02 firmware in Beta format that can be used to correct this problem. So far on the Anyone web page they haven't shown it yet.
