If you want to police the radio waves or the Internet, then have at 'er.

Yes there are some that are using it to commit fraud, but some blow hard on the radio spinning a tale on the radio isn't necessarily the same person fraudulently claiming benefits that they dont deserve.

How do you know who's records are right?

Official military records are requested through the Freedom of Information Act from the National Records archives. These are the official Military records, certain portions are blacked out due to Privacy Act but it will basically outline someones military career to include schools and awards.

I really didn't think this would take a Political turn but if need be please move it to the other area.

I think current and Veteran Military folks take it to heart a bit more.
