We never owned an astroplane back in the day but, I recall seeing several sticking up in the air back in the 70's. Was a pretty popular antenna and, sounded great. Knew a few who had them. We had a large 4 radial ground plane on my Dads house about 25 ft above the peak. Not for certain but, it 'might', have been called a super slammer. Not certain about that. Too many yrs have passed to recall for sure.
